Ok so that title is a little bit over the top, I know. But from what I hear it was a very big upset. I don’t follow the LPGA very closely, but after seeing Recari maybe I should. A few weeks back I noticed that she started following me on Twitter. After checking out who she was, I felt honored. But then realized it was in an attempt to gain voters for The Mojo 6. No worries though, she can use me any time.
The Mojo 6 is an LPGA sanctioned event held in Montego Bay, Jamaica. This is the inaugural year for the event and the field consists of the top 15 players in the Rolex Official World Rankings, and then the final 16th spot was voted on by the fans. It came down between the “muy bonita” Recari and Australian hottie Anna Rawson. Rawson pledged to donate the $1 million winners purse to charity if she was voted in and won. Going off of Rawson’s career tournament results, I think that victory would be quite a stretch. But a very nice gesture in any event. The Mojo 6 couldn’t go wrong with either of these ladies, both absolute smoke shows. I’m just bummed that I won’t be able to watch the event on May 1 & 2. I’ll be spending approximately 24 hours straight with 11 other sweaty, smelly runners in a couple of passenger vans as we run a 200 mile relay race to the tip of Cape Cod. Since Anna is free maybe she would like to be voted in as our 13th runner!?
