I have to admit, I’ve just recently heard of Jamie Sadlowski. I never paid much attention to the world of long drive competitions. It wasn’t until I started seeing the commercials for the Adams Speedline driver that Sadlowski uses, that I even knew who he was. Then I read a little feature on him in this month’s Golf Digest and I was instantly intrigued. The kid is flat out impressive.
At only 21 years old, 5′11″ and a whopping 165 pounds, Sadlowski can pound the ball over 400 yards. What helps him do that is his unbelievable flexibility, coupled with mind boggling swing speed. Sadlowski’s shoulder turn is 166 degrees, and his swing speed is 146 mph. Compare that to the average Tour player’s numbers of 123 degrees and 112 mph.
Take a look at the slow-motion Konica Minolta swing vision video of Sadlowski’s swing below. His shoulder turn and hand positions are completely off the charts. He must do some serious pilates or something to be that flexible!
