A double eagle, otherwise known as an “albatross” is the rarest of shots in golf. So when there are two of them within the span of two days on the PGA Tour, me thinks that’s pretty good. I see the making of another “These guys are good.” ad. On Wednesday Alvaro Quiros made a double eagle on a par 4 measuring 288 yards, during his U.S. Open practice round. In his opening round yesterday, Nick Watney scored his on the 17th hole in live competition and catapulted from +3 to even par with one swing of the club.
