The PGA Tour recently released its schedule for 2013, and overall there weren’t many differences from 2012, outside of The Masters being pushed back a week. The Valero Texas Open is also now sandwiched in between The Shell Houston Open and The Masters. The Shell Houston Open always served as a great tune up for players teeing it up at Augusta the following week, since Redstone is set up similar to Augusta with the greens. Where we’ll see the most changes will be come towards the end of the season, where the new PGA Tour qualifying tournaments come in to play during a 4 tournament series called “The Web.com Tour Finals”, which will happen after the Tour Championship, which is set for September 19-22. The 2013-2014 schedule is expected to be kicked off the week after the Presidents Cup (October 3-6), at the Frys.com Open.
