You have to know scoring conditions are good when your threesome group shoots a combined -23. Think about that for a second… -23 from 3 players! The players that made up that ridiculous score were Jason Day (63), Zach Johnson (63), and Ryan Palmer (64).

Captain Pavin wants Tiger on his team

With Tiger’s fourth place finish at the U.S. Open last week, it vaulted him to seventh place on the Ryder Cup standings. Tiger hasn’t stated when he’ll play again, so for how long he holds that spot, is anybody’s guess. Which could then lead to Pavin using one of his four Captain’s picks on Woods.

Yesterday Ryder Cup Captain, Cory Pavin, announced the selections for his assistant captains for the 2010 Ryder Cup. The Ryder Cup will be played October 1-3 in Wales. For the first time in a while, the U.S. team is the defending champion after beating Europe in 2008 at Valhalla.
